Early access. These guides cover the current product build. Access and connected-channel availability depend on your organization's setup. Public Instagram messaging access is not available yet.

Create and manage Plays

Build a reply, check the saved version, and control when it runs.

Before you start

Choose the correct workspace and connect the account you want to use. You need an editing role, access to the selected tool and the relevant workspace features. A plan alone does not switch a feature on.

Create a keyword reply

  1. Open Plays and choose to create a Play.
  2. Under Start with a template, choose Send a link when someone comments or Reply to a keyword in a DM. Templates are grouped as Comment Plays, DM Plays and Other Plays. Unavailable templates explain what is missing.
  3. For a comment link, choose the saved post and replace the example link and message. For a DM reply, enter the exact messages to match and write the reply yourself. A keyword reply does not answer arbitrary questions from Knowledge.
  4. Review the channel and scope. A specific-post Play applies to that selected post; a broader scope can cover more than one post or channel.
  5. Save, then use Test with a sample on the saved Play. Try a matching input and a nonmatching input. A sample sends nothing and does not create usage or log entries.
  6. Review the results and safety settings before explicitly activating the Play. Saving a proposal or testing a sample does not activate it.

Change an existing Play safely

Open the Play, edit its values and save the change. If another teammate saved first, inspect the current saved version before saving your draft again. Where version browsing is enabled, Browse saved versions, Compare version and Older versions show read-only configuration snapshots. Comparing does not restore an old version.

Pause a Play when you want later events to stop using it. Work already underway may finish with the version it captured. Editing or pausing does not undo an earlier action.

Choose the right collection flow

Collect an email in the DM and Collect a phone number in the DM ask one question after an exact starting keyword. A later email-only or phone-only reply must satisfy that flow's format and time window. Collection records a supplied contact detail; it does not verify ownership or grant marketing permission. Campaigns & Signups is a separate invitation and confirmation workflow.

For detailed sample results and optional capabilities, test a Play.
